Coastal Paddles

                                              Coastal paddle: $150   (8:00am to 2:00 or 4:00pm)

We are offering two different coastal sections to paddle.

 #1 "Pacifica" to Pillar Point. The first coastal option is from Linda Mar State Beach around Pedro Point along the beautiful Devils Slide. We will paddle along Montara state Beach and the entire Fitzgerald Marine Reserve then around Pillar Point into Pillar Point Harbor. This paddle is 9 nautical miles and will take four to six hours. It consists of a surf launch in the morning but lands in the protection of Pillar Point Harbor.

#2 Pillar Point to "San Gregorio". The second offering is from Pillar Point Harbor down to San Gregorio State Beach.  This paddle is around 13 nautical miles and will include a beach landing and launch stop for lunch along the way.  This section of the coast will take 5 to 6 hours to paddle and is currently the most adventurous coastal outing we offer.

All paddlers on these trips must have previous open water and surf zone kayaking experience.

Dress:

We provide wetsuits and waterproof paddle jackets for all classes, rentals, and tours. You bring sun block, sunglasses with retention strap, synthetic sweater, shoes that can get wet, and a hat. A change of dry clothes is recommended in case you get wet during the trip.

Signing up with Half Moon Bay Kayak Company: To ensure that you get the date you prefer, please call 650.773.6101 to make trip reservations early. All HMB Kayak Co. events are subject to cancellation due to weather and lack of paddlers. There is no charge if HMB Kayak Co. cancels at any time, or if you cancel one week or more prior to your event. If you cancel less than a week before your event, you will be charged the full amount. For an additional $25 per person, you can reschedule for another trip this year. Sorry, there is no refund or credit for no shows.
